If being chased by Maws and you need a breather - standing over a grate will render Maws unable to follow, as he must stay hidden in the ink. Using grates can help you, not only as means of making a quick getaway but also because enemies cannot interact with them as you can.Toss a splat bomb into the circle as the Maws emerges to let it chew on an explosion instead. When it gets in range of a player, a brief green circle will flash before the Maws leaps up to devour the target. This giant Salmonid lurks underground and swims directly toward its target. When using Stringers, jump to shoot vertically to take out multiple pots at once!.Blasters are very effective at knocking out several pots at once.Even if it's not aiming directly at you, you may still be caught in its shot.Stingers can see and shoot through walls, which means there's nowhere to hide from them.Shoot out all the pots and the Salmonid will fall onto the flame at the bottom. Its weapon shoots a stream of ink that pierces through walls, over long distances, and cannot be blocked. It'll search for a single target before attacking. The Salmonid cannot be harmed by ink-based attacks. This gives you a second to either get away, revive a teammate, or pickup eggs before it starts moving again.Ī Salmonid sniper atop a stack of pots and pans. If a Scrapper is getting too close just shoot it a couple of times to make it pause. You can take advantage of this and give yourself some breathing room. The Scrapper stops in its track as soon as it gets fired upon.Shoot the Scrapper and move sideways to make it turn its back to another player and have that player shoot the exposed Salmonid. Use this to your advantage, and work as a team. Their ability to turn rapidly allows them to keep their shields facing their target.If enough damage is dealt to the vehicle, it will break down and stop moving making it easy to run behind it and shoot the exposed Salmonid. Be careful of the ink shooting out of the vehicle's exhaust. Will drive into players, causing damage, and can even push players into water. This Salmonid drives an armored vehicle which only leaves it susceptible to damage from behind. If the Steel Eel is chasing you, you can choose to lead it near the basket before splatting it, removing the need of having to carry or toss the eggs from far away.If you're making eye contact, then that target is you! The driver will away look in the direction of their target. You can tell who the eel's target is by looking at the driver.If you get Splatted make sure not to get stuck on with the Steel Eel between you and your teammates. The ink walls that make up its body block all of your team's ink attacks.After being destroyed the head of the eel will skid forward slightly and can still cause damage to players.Since it only pursues one opponent, work as a team - while one player attracts the head, others can attack the tail to defeat it.The mechanical eel is actually controlled by a single Salmonid at the tail who peddles the machine. Can coil around and switch directions very quickly. It focuses on and will pursue a single target. Most importantly, if there's a downed teammate next to a Steelhead, focus on taking out the Steelhead right away as the explosion will revive your teammate too!īuilt from weapons made of connected spraying devices which act like ink walls against players. Because this explosion is so beneficial, you should prioritize taking out Steelheads to clear out congested areas.This explosion can be used to take out surrounding enemies and even other nearby Boss Salmonids! When you eliminate a Steelhead, it creates a giant explosion or friendly ink.Even without its bomb, the Steelhead can be destroyed by aiming the Killer Wail 5.1 at it.The bomb on its head can be destroyed by a single fully-charged shot from any Charger (Bamboozler takes two) - a single vertical fling from the Dynamo or Flingza Rollers - a single well-aimed shot from an Inkjet.Shoot enough ink at the bomb as it inflates before launching. The explosion is large and deadly, and can even destroy other Salmonids. Generates bombs from its head, which it then launches a short distance. Its body is covered in hard, protective scales.
